Viewing Blog entry in English

Getting lost in London is so funny!! 12 de agosto de en/2008

Roman wrote the other day in the tagboard that I needed to translate my webpage... so I'm gonna listen to him (because, honestly, he hasn't been the only who has asked for a translation :p) and from now on I'll try to write every blog entry both in Spanish and in English. Domenico also complains and asks me to translate it to Italan... dude! It's more than enough for you if I translate it to English, because you can even understand Spanish easily!!

It's 2:00 am now, and I've just arrived at the residence.

After my classes I've gone to have lunch-dinner with Roman, Tiny Nastia, Big Nastia and Svetlana from Russia; Antonio from Italy; and Nuria from Spain. I have classes from 13:15 to 16:00 everyday and I have no time to have a proper lunch, so what we've done today is having a lunch-dinner about 17:30 :p

Luli and Cris joined us later to go for a walk around Regent's Park, a quite beautiful park to lay for a while and chat. Here starts being cold quite early... so we had to go to a pub to keep warm there. There they sold Russian Standard vodka, the best over the world according to Roman, so I had no choice but to taste it... and it's really good!!!. Roman was teaching me the Russian alphabet and some basic Russian words (the most necesary: bad words and obscene verbs...)

About 22:30, and being afraid of being unable to go back home later by subway, I went with the two Nastias and Roman to their residence to have a little wine and talk a little more. I went out from there at 00:00 (quite early, to avoid the subway being closed) but when I arrived at the station I noticed that the circle line closes earlier, at 23:55. So... I had no other choice than to walk, having absolutely no idea about where I was. Guided a bit by the crappy maps in the bus stops I was able to find one bus line which leads directly to my residence from where I was, but that was after more than half an hour of walking around many narrow streets completely lost. Luckily this time I've been able to find the way back home, but I'm afraid of someday not being able to do so... Probably I should always have a map with me...

On another subject, last week I asked my teacher to change my lessons level to the highest one, but today I've been told that that level classes are only given in Tottenham court road, and I want to stay in Holborn, where all the people I know are. If I need higher level classes I will take them when I'm back to Madrid, so for now I'll be ok staying in the level I was in.

That has been everything for today... It has been quite a good day :)

Have fun!
